The Vision

Gizmox vision is to make Visual WebGui revolution available for all as standard de facto platform, from individual developer to large software houses, ISVs and enterprises. Our vision is to challenge the pains that web development presented over the years.

Visual WebGui is a revolutionary concept. The revoloution is making web development as simple as drag and drop, but without locking developers in. Developers can extend, customize, introp, and integrate easily. Visual WebGui revolution is allowing fast and economic porting of existing legacy desktop assets to web utilizing existing skill sets. The revolution is enabling  a secured by design web architecture that allows enterprises, first time since the beginning of the web era, to go on web without security concerns.

This is Gizmox vision, and we want to share it with you. That’s why we enable Visual WebGui in form of open source platform and framework that every developer can just download and use.

 The Platform

The most abstract descriptive analogy to Visual WebGui’s platform is; "Webtized Mainframe". Unlike the classic Mainframe, VWG concept takes into account that today's strong clients offer technological advantages that were not available in the old days of the Mainframe. Thus, VWG allows integration, invocation and utilization of client side resources.

Although VWG runs on the server which explains its numerous benefits in terms of productivity, server side mush up, data accessability and industrial strength, it is ultra light on network. The reason lies within the server client connectivity which is a propriety, extra optimized AJAX protocol. It allows standard browser accessibility without installation.

Literally, server state is being "screened" on the client, by Meta data. Nothing but incremental Meta Data (result of further optimization) goes back and forth, thus payloads are constant and stay less then 1 kb. This architecture enables the decoupled presentation layer concept which literally allows any presentation layer that can send and receive XML as VWG presentation layer. This architecture also explains VWG secured by design attribute as there are no open services, logic or data on client and therefore no exposure to malicious intervention.

VWG platform has the potential of supporting multiple usages of porting desktop oriented systems to web such as porting to mobiles without compromising on desktop like performances and security.

The products

VWG shares its SDK with developers as an open source product with no deployment fee, in order to facilitate developer's fast adaptation. It enables developers to build their own customized application and capitalize on VWG unprecedented productivity and other attributes by offering their customers fast, risk free development cycles. VWG brings around a revolution that should facilitate a fast migration path for enterprises looking to benefit from the economics of web.

Gizmox is going to offer wide range of premium products on top of VWG platform that will facilitate the web for enterprises usages. See current road map.
